The main objective of COGNITION is to develop a software solution for early recognition of abnormal and inattentive driving in order to prevent road accidents and increase traffic safety, by developing an application which gathers data from mobile phone sensors, processes it and warns the driver about potentially dangerous situations.

Detection tasks in vehicles: Outside-Vehicle Conditions Detection: to make drivers more sensitive to road conditions, road signs and other road users.

Vehicle conditions detection: to monitor vehicle conditions, including current speed, location, etc., as well as vehicle behavior such as turning, changing lanes, accelerating and braking.

Detecting Driver’s Behavior: to identify different driver’s behavior, particularly hazardous behavior, including inattention, distraction, fatigue, drunkenness, mobile device use while driving, etc.
